What type of string will be provided?
You will be provided with cotton string which is about 1.5mm wide. See the photos below.

What equipment will be provided for each team at the final?
On the day of the final, each team will be provided with the following equipment to help build their models:
- 1 glue gun (shown below in photo)
- 1 pairs of scissors
- 1 hacksaw(see photo below)
- 1 pencil
- Pencil sharpener
- A 1 metre ruler
- Sand paper
Hand drills will also be available for use by all teams.

What does the MDF look like?
Below is a photo of two of the 60cm sticks of MDF that will be used to build the models.
The picture below is a closeup of the ends of the MDF sticks. You can see the cross section of each stick is 6mm by 4mm.
