cable stayed bridge

The bridge deck of a cable stayed bridge is hung from a set of cables. Each cable is connected at one end to a tower (Show Me), that carries the weight of the bridge, and at the other end to the bridge deck (Show Me). This is different to the way that the deck of a suspension bridge is supported.
