Reservoir Towers

Outlet tower at Upper Hollywood Reservoir, Los Angeles, California (Where is it?)

You may have noticed towers standing in reservoirs. These are called intake or outlet towers. They are used to let water out of the reservoir. The EERC have studied the way these towers behave during earthquakes.
